Modular construction is the process of fabricating various types of buildings in a controlled environment, away from the building’s destination site. Once completed, the buildings are then transported to and installed at their intended location.

CORCAN utilizes a mix of both old and new techniques when producing our modular buildings. In additional to Computer Assisted Design (CAD) and Computer Assisted Manufacturing (CAM), CORCAN Custom Modular buildings utilize much of the same traditional materials and techniques used in stick-built construction. However, CORCAN optimizes on those processes by producing in a highly controlled and predictable environment. This process ensures that all CORCAN Custom Modular buildings are built to the highest quality standards that meet or exceed all National and Provincial building codes.

CORCAN Custom Modular buildings have been used in a wide variety of applications including residential housing, permanent and temporary workforce accommodation, commercial and office space, day care centres, schools and detention centres. Through the use of modular construction, buildings can be completed and then shipped to remote areas that would normally prohibit construction.

Since our modular units are primarily completed in a controlled setting using dry materials, the potential for high levels of moisture being trapped in the new construction is greatly reduced.
